I have a rich experience of 13 years in the area of cancer, stem cell, cell biology, biobanking and hematology. I have completed my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in medicine from the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, College of Medicine, Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea.
I was responsible to manage Biorepository, Department of Research, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Research Center, New Delhi, India as a Scientist cum Tech. Manager. Since its inception I was involve in management of RGCIRC Biorepository (since 2013), therefore I got an opportunity to face many challenges overcoming which I helped the institute to turn into a sustainable and efficient Biorepository.
I am expertise in operation of Biobank, including development, maintenance of SOPs, coordination of material requests and release, development and maintenance of Informatics System, quality assessment of samples, maintenance of privacy and security, training of tumor biobank personnel, Inventory verification, operations and quality assurance at tumor biobank and selection samples for collection and shipment.
I am currently responsible to establish,manage and to operate National Liver Disease Biobank (NLDB). I Oversee operations of the Bio bank and promote coordination with other departments including the Research Institute, Laboratories, and the Division of Clinical Genetic. Responsible for staff related activities including hiring/termination, coaching, orienting, training, and payroll processing. Monitors staff attendance, productivity, and performance markers. Provides counselling to staff, on-going training for new/existing staff on various department tasks, procedures, and system.
